And if he couldn’t find one, then this series should have been extended. There should have been a way for Shusterman to have these events happen without constantly jumping forward in the plot. However, the timeline kept skipping forward years at a time, which wasn’t sitting right with me. The writing was okay, the characterization was okay, and I’m not a big fan of the romance. As I read the first two Scythe books, my thoughts were so neutral that I didn’t expect to be making reviews for any of the books in the trilogy.
